Code of Conduct
As a TR member you have a responsibility to take reasonable steps to ensure that your actions are not harmful to the guild or to Omni as a whole. By joining TR you are accepting this responsibility and agreeing to follow this Code of Conduct.
General gameplay rules
All members are expected to be aware that TR has a good reputation which is considered very important by many members including the founders. Every member's behaviour contributes to our overall reputation, and it is the responsibility of each member to avoid any behaviour which could bring the guild into disrepute.
In particular, do not take part in any form of griefing - this means actions with the apparent purpose of disrupting the game for other players and with no material benefit to yourself.
Don't deliberately train NPCs on other players under any circumstances.
Don't attempt to outdamage the damage team at recognised Omni public raids. Don't attempt to force an Omni XP/SK team off a spot by outdamaging them. Don't attempt to kill aliens spawned by another guild in their city unless they have invited you to do so.
Bullying, harassment and offensive behaviour
Don't bully or harass other players. In particular, bullying or harassment of another TR member is a serious offence.
Don't behave in a way which a reasonable person would consider offensive under the circumstances.
Omni Ganking
Don't kill or attempt to kill other Omnis except in self defence, to defend another Omni or Omni towers, in an arranged duel, or in an area where Omni vs Omni PVP is normally acceptable such as the Arena.
Tower battles
It is the duty of all members, as agreed when you applied to join TR, to drop anything you are doing in game to attend a tower battle if asked to do so by a Board Member.
It is the duty of all members to attend defences of any TR or Rina base where they could be useful, even if no Board Member is online. This includes low level defences at which high level players are needed, either to kill high level clanners or to buff twinks.
We understand that there may be occasions when (for example due to RL commitments) this is not possible, however it is unacceptable for any member to continue participating in another in-game activity when either of the above situations applies.
TR bases should only be opened for organised attacks on high level bases, led by a recognised war leader on a bot such as Pvpnet. If you are in any doubt about whether it is appropriate to attack in TR, ask a Board Member first. Rinascita bases may be opened for low level attacks, and members should use their own judgement about whether it is appropriate to open them.
Don't take part in attacks on Neutral bases (this includes entering the gas to attack any defender) unless in retalliation for an attack by that specific Neutral guild on an Omni base. If in any doubt, do not attack until you have consulted a Board Member.
Guild raids
The guild issues guidelines on loot distribution at raids. It is not compulsory to follow these guidelines at all raids - but if for any reason loot has been allocated in another way, this must be made clear to all members taking part in the raid at the earliest opportunity.
Any member who has taken the trouble to organise a raid for the guild deserves to be treated with respect while he/she is leading the raid. You must do your best to cooperate with the raid leader and follow his/her instructions.
If you do not feel able to cooperate with the raid leader's instructions, please politely excuse yourself from the raid and bring your concerns to the attention of a Board Member. Do not stay at the raid and ignore the raid leader or attempt to disrupt the raid.
Conversely, members taking the role of raid leaders are expected to treat other members fairly and politely and remember that TR was founded to get away from drama.
Fair trading
For the benefit of all members, it is important that players both inside and outside of TR know that they can trust our members to deal with them fairly when making trades.
Any form of scamming is a serious offence.
If you buy or sell a service, buy or sell loot rights on a nodrop item, or arrange a complex deal involving more than one trade, then you must ensure that the terms of the deal are clearly understood by all parties in advance, and you must fulfill your part of the deal if the other parties fulfill theirs. 'Tipping' is entirely discretionary and nobody has the right to demand tips after a service has been provided.
You must repay all loans. If you borrowed an item for an unspecified period of time then you must return it immediately when the owner asks for it to be returned.
Profiteering
You must not engage in any form of profiteering at the expense of TR or its members. Examples of profiteering include but are not limited to:
- Failing to warn another TR member if you know that a trade between you and that member is not at the market price;
- Selling an item after obtaining it or a similar item, from or with the help of TR or a TR member, on the understanding that it was for your own use.
Exploits and Ninja Looting
The use of exploits or ninja looting are both potentially very harmful to the guild and will be treated as serious offences. If you learn about any exploits please do not use them and do not discuss them in guild chat or with other members.
Use of game and forum accounts by other people
Your characters are recruited to TR on the understanding that the person who was interviewed for membership is the person who will be playing them while they are in TR.
You must not allow anybody who is not a member of TR to use your account or to gain direct or indirect access to TR org chat, forums, bots or other resources restricted to members. Allowing an RK2 clanner, or anybody else who might have a motive to harm TR, to do any of these things is a serious offence.
You will be held responsible for any actions by your characters, even if somebody else was playing your character at the time.
